BANNERS
When I visited the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove in Kyoto, I knew that no simple photograph could catch the majesty of this bamboo growth. Simultaneously I was having my great room windows tinted in Hot Springs. After a chat with the installer, I realized he could print enlargements on vinyl, using high quality inks under my supervision for color correction. And no frames, just gromets. And so, over the years a few images have deemed themselves worthy of becoming a “banner.” If two dates are given, the first refers to the photographed date; the second is the print creation date on canvas. Sizes are included so you can appreciate the scale.
